At the heart of the Luba Jessy Foundation is a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves a chance, and every young mother deserves a future.
Founded in 2015 by Luba Jessy Dan, the foundation was born out of personal passion and a deep concern for vulnerable communities in Iganga District, Uganda. Witnessing firsthand the challenges faced by disadvantaged children and teenage mothers, from poverty and early pregnancy to school dropouts and abandonment, Jessy knew that something had to be done.
With limited resources but an unwavering spirit, Luba Jessy began supporting children in his community with school fees, emotional care, and basic supplies. What started as a few acts of kindness quickly grew into a full-fledged foundation that now empowers young lives through education, vocational training, and counseling.
Today, the Luba Jessy Foundation has helped dozens of children return to school and has equipped young mothers with income-generating skills, giving them a renewed sense of purpose. Our story is one of hope, compassion, and resilience, proving that even small acts of kindness can spark powerful change.
We are more than an organization. We are a family, a community, and a movement committed to restoring dignity, purpose, and opportunity to those who need it most.
We work with local leaders, schools, and families to identify children and teenage mothers who need urgent support.
We provide school fees, supplies, mentorship, and vocational training to empower beneficiaries to rebuild their lives.
Through consistent support and counseling, we help restore dignity, confidence, and future dreams.
Meet Grace, learned tailoring through our program and now runs her own business to support her child.
